Fuel & mileage
Log "Mileage only" every day (your van's Trip A) — that's what your monthly distance and fuel-efficiency stats are built from. When you pump, log Fuel too; its optional km field is your van's Trip B (reset at each pump) and is just for that one tank's own efficiency — it won't be added on top of your daily mileage, so there's no double-counting.

Units
Vehicle cost per kilometer
This estimates fuel, maintenance and wear per kilometer driven. If you'd rather track exact fuel and maintenance costs, leave this off and log them in the Expenses calendar instead.
Recurring expenses
For anything else that repeats on a schedule — a car loan, a phone plan, a subscription. Enter it once and it's automatically counted every period, until you tell it to stop.
